Annette Funicello, an American actress and singer. The most well-known part of her career was that of "one of the original Mouseketeers" in The Mickey Mouse Club. In her teens Annette began singing and became a household name for the songs 'Tall Paul and Pineapple Princess'. Born and raised in Utica, to Italian parents who were immigrants from Italy, Annette was a shy child. When she decided to pursue a professional career within the field began dancing and performing. Being the "Mouseketeer" in Disney sketches, Annette rose to great recognition in the 1950s. Annette was able to let go of her 'Disney" persona she had developed when she was a kid and took many different adult roles. Her most notable role was in the role of the pioneer of the beach party genre. Her appearances in movies included as "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini and 'Pajama Parties'' and 'Beach Party.'
